EUropa.S. 2015 Candidate Commissioners

Another EUropa.S. 2015 innovation is the election of the President of the European Commission.

Candidate Presidents will run an electoral campaign during the preparatory months of EUropa.S. 2015 and shall try to persuade the Members of the European Parliament support their candidacy.

Candidate Presidents of the European Commission are the Presidents of the political parties of the European Parliament, as follows:

President of the EPP Party- Philippos Triantafyllidis
President of the S&D Party – Fotios Stravoravdis
President of the ALDE Party – Kyriakos Nikolaidis
President of the GUE Party – Vasilis Nasopoulos
President of the GREENS/EFA Party – Nafsika Vrettaki

The President of the European Commission will be elected at the Plenary Session of the European Parliament of EUropa.S. 2015 and shall Preside the College of Commissioners. Moreover, the elected President shall hold honorary the position of a member of EUropa.S. 2015 Secretariat.
